The Outpost is her first significant role in the US because her earlier filmographies were in Australia. Jessica's martial arts and horseback riding capabilities and athletic skills allow her to do stunts, embodying the strong woman character. She's studied boxing and muay Thai in Australia in addition to training at a mixed-martial art gym. Jake Stormoen was on his Season 4 set when he came across a wandering dog. The dog had been occupying the entire set. Jessica took care of both puppies.
